Terms and Conditions For Nurturing Your Nervous System Students
Last updated 20 January 2025.
Hello!
These terms apply to your purchase of my "Nurturing your Nervous System: The Complete Roadmap to Managing your Emotions in 12 Weeks” course (the “Course”) from me, Lauren Baird trading as Inner Glow Therapy of 0/1 30 McLennan Street, Glasgow G42 9DQ (“I”, “me” or “my”).
It’s important that you read these terms carefully, because once you buy the Course, you’re considered to have accepted these terms and have agreed to be bound by them, and a legal contract is created between you and me.
If you’re unsure of anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me before you buy the Course.
About the Course
Effectively managing emotions is crucial for maintaining overall wellbeing and navigating life's challenges. When emotions are left unattended or become overwhelming, they can negatively impact mental health, relationships, and daily functioning. By developing the skills to manage emotions, individuals can experience increased emotional resilience, improved self-regulation, and enhanced overall emotional well-being. It empowers individuals to respond to stressful situations with greater clarity, make informed decisions, and maintain healthier relationships. Ultimately, learning to manage emotions allows individuals to lead more fulfilling and balanced lives. This is exactly why I’ve developed the Course.
The purpose of the Course is to provide support and guidance to those who are struggling with overwhelming emotions and dysregulation. My aim is to help you develop the necessary skills and understanding to effectively manage your emotions from a nurturing and kind perspective. Through the Course, you will have the opportunity to build a resource toolkit that will widen your Window of Tolerance, enabling you to navigate challenging emotional experiences with greater ease.
The Course also aims to reduce common struggles associated with issues such as anxiety, panic, dissociation, and overwhelm. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of your autonomic nervous system and its role in regulating emotions. You will explore the concept of the Window of Tolerance, Polyvagal Theory and learn about the impact that trauma can have on this vital capacity.
In addition, the Course will delve into the intricate nature of emotions and body sensations. You will develop a deeper understanding of how emotions manifest in your body, explore effective ways to recognise and respond to triggers, develop a new language to communicate emotions and bodily sensations effectively, discover your inner resources and access and create your own healing toolkit. As well as learning insights from a Yoga Therapist, Rachel Bilski, I aim to support you in expanding your capacity to manage emotions, widen your Window of Tolerance, and find greater balance and resilience in your daily life.
So, how does the Course work and how do I pay?
The Course is a 12-module, self-paced course, hosted on Teachable. It is entirely online and accessible anytime, anywhere, for a lifetime (subject to suspension or termination for non-payment or misuse).
The cost of the Course is as stated on my website at the time of purchase, and all payments are processed securely through Stripe. You are responsible for reviewing Stripe’s terms and conditions and privacy policy before making a payment, as you will be bound by their terms.
Payment options. You have two payment options:
- Upfront payment. Pay the full cost of the Course at the time of purchase.
- Payment plan. Spread the cost over three equal instalments, paid monthly. Payments will be proceeded by Stripe on approximately the same date each month as the first payment.
If you choose the payment plan, you are legally obligated to pay the full cost of the Course. It is your responsibility to ensure that your payment method remains valid and up-to-date to allow Stripe to collect the payments.
Missed payments. If a payment fails, your access to the Course will be suspended until the overdue amount is paid in full.
If the overdue payment is not made within 14 days, your access will be terminated, and the full outstanding balance will become immediately due.
Overdue payments exceeding 14 days may incur interest at a rate of 3% per annum above the Bank of Scotland’s base rate (or 3% if the base rate falls below 0%), accruing daily until payment is made in full. I also reserve the right to recover the outstanding amount, accrued interest, and any reasonable legal expenses through legal action.
Once your upfront payment or the full amount under the payment plan has been received, you will receive an email to create your account and access the Course.
Discounts and flash sales
From time to time, I may offer discounts or promotional codes as part of a flash sale or through special offers. These discounts are subject to the terms stated at the time of the promotion and cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases.
If you take advantage of a discount, the upfront payment or the payment plan will reflect the reduced price.
Promotional codes must be entered at the time of purchase to receive the discount. Discounts and promotions cannot be combined unless expressly stated otherwise. I reserve the right to withdraw or modify discounts and promotions at any time.
Refund policy
Access to the Course and all related materials begins as soon as payment is received (whether upfront or the first instalment under a payment plan). These materials constitute digital products under consumer legislation.
By purchasing the Course, you expressly waive your right to the 14-day cooling-off period typically available under consumer legislation. This waiver is necessary because you gain immediate access to my intellectual property, which cannot be returned.
This means:
- Once you make payment (whether upfront or the first instalment under a payment plan) and access the Course, no refunds will be issued for any amount already paid.
- You cannot cancel the Course partway through and request a refund for any payments made.
All sales are final.
Privacy of accounts
Your account and access to the Course is personal to you, and so you must not share your login details with any other person. If I discover that you have failed to maintain the privacy of your account and access to the Course, or there has been unauthorised access, I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Course without any liability or refund.
